Binary DiSorb™ Diffuser-Absorber

AVL Systems Binary DiSorb™ Diffuser-Absorbers are lightweight acoustical control devices for mounting on wall and ceiling surfaces. These attractive fabric-faced products have been designed to achieve optimal performance with the use of a binary reflection-absorption component which provided uniform sound diffusion and absorption with a flat power spectrum. With computer modeling analysis combined with laboratory and application testing, AVL Systems Binary DiSorb™ Diffuser-Absorbers provide a reduction in the reflected acoustical energy while also providing spatial diffusion of back-scattered sound without high Q reflections or resonances. Binary DiSorb™ Diffuser-Absorbers are ecologically friendly; containing up to 85% recycled materials. Products are supplied to finish sizes as specified and ready to install with attachment devices for mounting to existing substrates or in standard ceiling systems.

Fire Performance
Composite assemblies with standard finish have a flame-spread rating of less than 25 (Class A) per ASTM E-84.

Applications
Binary DiSorb™ Diffusor-Absorbers are ideal for rooms and spaces where proper sound masking and noise control are a consideration. The design of these products allows the specifier to provide for absorption and diffusion to backscatter and properly blend the original sounds reducing the often overpowering echoes and noise of the room. This combination helps to improve speech intelligibility, as well as clarity and tonal separation for music and performances.
