Diffuser-Absorber

AVL Systems DiSorb™ Diffuser-Absorbers are lightweight acoustical control devices for mounting on ceilings and wall surfaces. These attractive products have been designed to achieve optimal performance with the use of computer modeling analysis combined with laboratory and application testing. DiSorb™ Diffuser-Absorbers provide spatial diffusion of the back-scattered sound energy without high Q reflections or resonances while also providing frequency specific, diaphragm-tuned, low frequency absorption. DiSorb™ Diffuser-Absorbers are manufactured from multi-density, thermo-molded polymers designed to dampen resonances and resist impact and damage. AVL Systems' diffusers are ecologically friendly containing up to 85% recycled materials. Products are supplied to finish sizes as specified and ready to install with attachment devices for mounting to existing substrates or in standard grid ceiling systems.

Fire Performance
Composite assemblies with standard finish will have a flame-spread rating of less than 25 (Class A) per ASTM E-84.

Textured white finish standard. Options include a wide selection of AVL Systems' standard fabrics or, Designers selection and C.O.M

Applications
DiSorb™ Diffusor-Absorbers are ideal for rooms and spaces where proper sound masking and noise control are a consideration. The design of these products allows the specifier to provide for diffusion to backscatter and properly blend the original sounds and, with DiSorb™ Types A, B, and C, also reduce the often overpowering boominess of the room. This combination helps to improve speech intelligibility, as well as clarity and tonal separation for music and performances.
